IMC 2026
contestants 453 · problems 5 · scale 0–10 · per-problem yes

IMC 2026 is under way in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria (27 July – 3 August 2026).

The competition is running right now. Problems, individual results and the difficulty statistics appear on this page as the organisers publish them — there is nothing to show for a part of the competition that has not happened yet.

Day 1 was contested on 29 July 2026.

What is on this page so far

  • Day 1 problems 5 problems published
  • Day 2 problems not published here yet
  • Individual results published
  • Difficulty statistics computed from the published scores

This is what this site has, not what the organisers have — we republish from imc-math.org.uk and there is a lag. Meanwhile: the archive of earlier editions.

Projected diploma cut-offs

If prizes were awarded on today’s standings, and each band went to the same share of the field as in the last 10 editions, the cut-offs would fall here. This is arithmetic on partial results, not a forecast — day 2 reshuffles the order.

bandtop % of fieldcut-offat or above
GF Grand First1.5%377
I First22.8%25102
II Second44.0%20194
III Third64.8%12289
HM Honourable Mention84.1%8372

The shares are medians over the 10 most recent editions that published prizes (20162025) — e.g. First: top 22.8% of the field. Ties resolve downward: where the boundary falls inside a group of contestants on the same total, that whole group takes the lower band rather than being split, so a band can come out smaller than its historical share — “at or above” is how many the cut-off actually covers. With totals out of 50 and large groups sitting on each score, that gap is wide. Grand Grand First is not projected at all: it has taken a median 0.18% of the field, under one contestant, and none was awarded in four of those 10 editions.
